Works great; awkward size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this to replace an old slow cooker in which the inside had cracked. Works just as well.as.that one did.
Intuitive interface and it cooked up our chili excellently.
The only downsides:
The size. Too big by a bit to fit in my sink, making it awkward to clean; and
The lid. My old slow cooker had the lid attached to the unit. This isn't and so you have to put it somewhere to check and stir your dish. And, because the lid isn't flat, it doesn't sit well on most surfaces, which is a pain

Platinum slow Cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned and used many slow cookers/crock pots in my 16 years cooking professionally, but this one is my favorite medium to large one for sure. My favorite feature is the long retractable power cord, but it is also really nice to be able to lock the lid without clunky rubber bands like some models use. It's solid, but not too heavy and it seems very well engineered. It's programmable for time and temperature. Controls were intuitive and simple, with several handy presets for different recipes. Had a pronounced burnt metal smell the first use which is to be expected, but my chili turned out great without any weird flavors. I'm excited to have enough space to do a roast again after losing the lid to our old slowcooker. In all honesty, I am pleasantly surprised by the quality. I will be using this slow cooker a lot and would definitely recommend to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very satisfied with the elite platinum slow cooker. The presets really help with cooking instead of guessing what to put the slow cooker on. So far I have fixed pulled pork in mine. It has a tenderize preset for pulled pork and it works great. The meat was very tender and tasted great. The slow cooker is easy to clean and the locking lid makes it easy for travel. The cord is retractable so you don't have to worry about it getting caught on something and falling off the counter. I will be using this for family get togethers a lot this summer. I have so many meals in mind that I can fix with this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I enjoyed the use of my Elite programmable slow cooker. At first it was hard to lock into place but finally did lock. It took a little bit longer for my homemade chicken noodle soup to get done than I expected. I had to add extra time. Once the food was done it tasted great and turned out perfectly. It is a perfect size pot for my large family and definitely does the job, so while at work, dinner is done with little effort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Elite Platinum 6Qt. Programmable Stainless Steel Slow Cooker with Locking Lid is, in a word, AWESOME!! It's the perfect size for our family of six. It's large and deep and cooks perfectly. I love the locking lid and the fact that it's lightweight. My last slow cooker was extremely heavy.
