Not as quiet as expected

First, we should have paid attention to the weight of this item--because of the unique construction of our kitchen, we had to reinforce where the bolts were placed. Installation was easy, we had a contractor and my husband assisted. The design is great, it extends over the front burners so it catches more of the moisture being released by the cooking food. Lights are bright, looks like it will easy to clean. However, it sounds like a jet plane taking off--on the lowest setting. It is not nearly as quiet as I believed it to be from the reviews.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect range hood and this model was the only one that met all my requirements. It works great, has multiple speeds and moveable lights, and looks amazing.

Happy overall with the unit. Quality built, clean lines, good stainless steel. Beeper for the light on off is very loud. Wish it could be adjusted. And while I know the response will be they have the quietest fans in the industry, it is a bit loud. But short of having a unit with a remote fan motor, I'm not sure how much quieter it could be.

I bought this about a month ago and installed it myself. Once the prep-work is done, the hood is easy to install. Took about 5-min. Getting everything exactly ready took several days. I recommend a professional installation if you are not good at sheet metal work.
I love the fit and finish. I used a 36" wide chimney that I cut to size vertically because I was not using beneath cabinets, but rather between cabinets, where an old hood once was. Perfect!

The appearance of this hood is beautiful. It was very easy to install with the help of 1 other for lifting. The lighting is perfect. I really like the 4 speed option because sometimes you just don't need a jet engine for the small jobs! The only reason I may not give this 5 stars is because of the touch panel. You have to press your finger exactly right or the buttons won't work. At first I thought it was not working but quickly realized there is a certain way you have to apply your finger
