Just had the hood installed last Tuesday, but the grill is not hoojed up yet so really havent used hood to see how it works. It is sleek looking and doesnt dominate our small outdoor kitchen area, which is what we we wanted. The fan does seem quite loud though even on a '1' setting so a little disappointed about that. We had looked at another hood with style design and they touted a very quiet fan, but they were out of stock so we'll never know. Once grill installed and we use our sear zone, we'll see what kind of job it does.

The hood is beautiful and works wonderfully. We installed it ourselves and the instructions were clear.
HOWEVER even with connecting the lower brackets directly to the ceiling mount (minimum distance to ceiling) the hood is too low above the range, 26" vs 30-36" recommended.

We are in the process of some outdoor updating, and our bbq has ended up completely covered, which meant we would have to hang an island mount vent over it. We were concerned that the bulk of the vent would obscure the view from one side of the patio to the other. Instead, this vent has become a focal point in the project and looks beautiful! And it’s rated for outdoors which was difficult to find. Our contractor had no issues installing it, and it arrived via freight in great shape. A good decision on our part.
