We live in a pretty bad area so home security is a top priority. The Ring doorbell allows us to see who is at the door in real-time and save any suspicious footage. Though the time to open a live view after you get an alert can be delayed, it’s a great product for home security. The video quality is clear as well as the mic and speakers. It was easy to install and makes us feel safer.

I like the concept, but wish it worked better. Video is not clear, doesn’t load sometimes. I thought it was my wifi, but it turns out it isn’t, even with an extender in a 1500sf house with the extender right opposite the doorbell.

Pretty great product. Love being able to see who is at the door without having to get up or even be home! It makes my home feel more safe. Installation is easy too! Not sure how it is going to be when we move though...

I have honestly been disappointed with my ring doorbell.... I live about 30-50 feet away from a road (it is a back road). The way the settings are have only given me about 2 options and that is to either catch whoever comes near my front door or catch every single car that drives by (blows my phone up). It also only catches stuff when it wants and I’ve determined it isn’t my internet because it’s been tested and runs fine.... I’m just not so happy with it...

The Ring Video Doorbell 2, along with the Ring app, should provide enough customization options to optimize the motion it captures. By following a few steps, you should be able to reduce excess motion events and improve accuracy. We're here to help find a solution.
To reduce picking up vehicles, please try out our new Customizable Motion Zones to eliminate motion detection in areas you do not want monitored.
Customizable Motion Zones will allow you to draw different shapes that are more dynamic than Adjustable Motion Zones. You can add up to three different Motion Zones. The following steps will walk you through setting up a Customizable Motion Zone on your device:
- Tap the three lines on the top left of the screen.
- Tap Devices.
- Select your Ring Video Doorbell 2.
- Once you’re on the screen with the image of your device, tap Motion Settings.
- Then tap Motion Zones.
- Tap Customize Motion Zones and then Continue.
- Use the slider to adjust motion sensitivity from minimum to maximum sensitivity.
Once you’ve drawn your Motion Zones and adjusted the motion sensitivity slider, the changes will take effect the next time the device detects motion. To apply your changes immediately, press the doorbell button.

This doorbell 2 comes with 2 different colored cases (black and silver). Picks up good video content. I’d say it’s sensitive to vehicles passing by if you live on a busy street. Comes with items that can assist it with looking higher, lower, left or right.

Omg don’t buy it! Lol it becomes an obsession every little chime on my phone I want to look and see. But great do you no who’s there being able to answer with going down 3 flights of stairs and I no when packages are here..

We installed the ring about two weeks ago and so far it's been great. The picture is clear as day. At first it went off constantly because my neighbors are always coming and going but, we adjusted the zones to not cover there driveway and now it's perfect. I wish we would have installed it a little lower so, my advice would be to try it out where you think you're going to mount it first.

I love our doorbell. I live on a cove the the camera dimension are placed in a very well spot and I feel safe when I travel and I have a peace of mind with the notifications. I feel safe anyways knowing my home is ok!Ring White Video Doorbell 2. I’m needing something great for my garage area and my background for my 3 fur babies to give me a peace of mind as well and I’m looking into the spot lights.
