This works really good a lot of people use ring and you get recorded when you come to the door and I think that is a good thing

I actually love rain because of the fact that I can actually see outside of my door and see if anybody’s trying to steal packages or dropping off food. It also makes it great for transactions when you’re selling things because of Covid I can easily leave the item outside let a person come pick it up and see them drop off the money or if they’re going to try to steal it from me. It also records when I’m not at home so that way I know whoever’s at my house and also notifies me of when somebody’s near my door. I feel really safe with it even though you can hack it I still feel safe with it because of what it records.

This product is okay... pricey, and the video is good, but the range is hard to get right. Either it picks up too much road traffic or it doesn’t catch enough of my property.

As Ring users ourselves, we understand how important it is to rely on motion detection. The Ring Doorbell 2 is intended to provide accurate motion detection based on its surroundings. Rest assured, we hear your concern and are here to shed some light on the subject.
Ring products “see” the world through a network of linked passive infrared (PIR) sensors. These are heat sensors that detect motion by monitoring heat within the detection area. Since people are hotter than the surrounding areas, as a person enters the detection area, the heat measurements change. The motion sensors register this change as movement and send out an alert.
If you are enrolled in one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you have the ability to refine your Motion Alert Notifications to distinguish between people and other motions using Smart Alerts within the doorbell's Motion Settings. The link below will walk you though setting this feature up.

Additionally, if you have a few stairs leading up to your front door, we would like to suggest installing the Ring Wedge Kit behind your doorbell. My family and I absolutely love how safe this device makes everyone feel! It’s very important to make sure that any possible crimes against your property are recorded, and I can confidently say that this doorbell guarantees anyone trying to steal packages from your doorstep will be warded off from trying. Would absolutely recommend!

Super convenient to have in the home! Makes it easy to see who comes to the door, when packages are delivered, and whatnot. Also fun to see what our dog does in the backyard as we have a camera out there as well. Only complaint is the people in my area who are always complaining about people posting on the app. Maybe try to make the app a bit more boomer friendly so they can figure out how to turn off notifications lol.

Our Ring has given me SO much peace of mind. After some things happened in our neighborhood, we got one, and I can sleep better at night, and knowing that everything gets captured on film just helps me feel better. It’s well worth the investment, in my opinion.

Excellent product. I did read many reviews before purchase and this seemed to be one of the better models? I chose the pro kit as it contained everything needed,(Ring doorbell with several different coloured faceplate's, transformer, chime, screws instructions etc), to swap over my hard wired doorbell.The 'pro' unit is permanently powered, so no need to charge/change batteries. It can be fitted easily if you are good at DIY.
