I feel so much more secure after purchasing this for our home. I’m able to catch anyone that has been on our porch and I can watch it back. I can also send any videos to neighbors or friends. One of my best purchases!

I love having the ring video doorbell. It’s great when we’re not at home and can see and talk to whom ever stops by. One of the pluses is that it is in the direction of where the car garage is. My husband has a habit of leaving the garage open and now when I’m at work I can see if it’s closed or not.

Pricey but the device works as long as the app is updated to fix all the bugs. The yearly price can be dropped to get more customers otherwise not worth the fee.

This is a really valuable, useful product. It’s pretty simple to set up; I was able to hardwire it by myself, and my 55+ mom was able to set the app up & pair the device on her phone no problem. The app offers a lot of great features beyond just notifications. Whether you want 24/7 monitoring & recording, just the doorbell features, or anything in between, it’s possible in the app. You can also see recordings and captures of local incidents and let neighbors know about incidents you’ve seen. This product proved extremely effective when the cars in my driveway were broken into and it captured their lights turning on. Due to our settings, we were unable to see the perpetrators, but we’d never have known it happened without this product & connected app. I recommend to anyone who would like an extra step of home security.

I like this when it works. The image quality is decent enough to see people's features clearly as they easily by or approach the door. And i like the updates like the timelines and changing recording lengths. I also appreciate the neighbourhood alerts. And I like that it came with the two plates so I can choose to change the colour if I want. But I have great wifi and a great connection set up and yet I can only get Live View maybe 20% of the times I click into it. I've reset the app, moved around, done all the tests. Everything always checks out but I still have issues connecting. And if its late or I'm home alone and get motion detection, I can't have that happening. It will also randomly "lose" my recordings. I don't know if the 2nd gen is just outdated but it's really disappointing. I've had it for a year now and am looking to replace it.

Thank you for the time and effort you've invested in troubleshooting your video concerns so far. If the standard distance tests and Ring app resets haven't resolved your concern, please follow the guidance in this advanced troubleshooting article below.
In particular, we recommend switching your router’s channel to 1, 6, or 11 as they do not overlap other channels, and can clear up many video concerns with one simple step. If you're not sure how to do so, please contact your internet service provider, as they should be able to walk you through the steps.
