I love our ring doorbell. It came with the house when we purchased it and I’m so glad it’s here! I love being able to monitor who is at our front door when we’re home and when we’re not. I recommend to everyone who likes to have that sense of security as well.

So far so good! This camera has helped us a lot when monitoring every door. We are able to see when and who delivers packages and who lingers at the door without having to open it. Makes myself and my family feel really safe. You can also view who is outside your door on your mobile device.

Good product...i. have multiple ring cameras....the app is easy to use and its very easy to set up..makes me feel good being able to see the house when I am not home

I bought this for my mom to put up at her house because of where she lives. It notifies her every time there’s movement outside, and it goes straight to her phone. I would recommend it to a friend. The only down fall is if you have plants on your porch, the wind will set off the motion notifications.

As Ring users ourselves, we understand how important it is to rely on motion detection. The Ring Doorbell 2 is intended to provide accurate motion detection based on its surroundings. Rest assured, we hear your concern and are here to shed some light on the subject.
Ring products “see” the world through a network of three linked passive infrared (PIR) sensors. These are heat sensors that detect motion by monitoring heat within the detection area. Since people are hotter than the surrounding areas, as a person enters the detection area, the heat measurements change. The motion sensors register this change as movement and send out an alert.
If your mom is enrolled in one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, she has the ability to refine her Motion Alert Notifications to distinguish between People and Other Motions using Smart Alerts within the doorbell's Motion Settings. The link below will walk her though setting this feature up.

I think this was an amazing thing to own especially if you live alone. I’ve had someone try and break into my house while I was home alone and due to the camera I scared them off and they did not come in.
