I definitely feel safer having a Ring doorbell. If I don’t want to answer, I just check the app and turn it off! The one negative is the picture itself. It can be very grainy. I’m sure in a few years, the quality will be much better!

Love being able to see who is at my door and answer the door when it rings without being at the door! I can check in packages if I’m not home, I can let the maintenance people in without being there. I like to see who is in front of my home and also if someone is doing something they shouldn’t be it’s all on camera! We need another camera for the other side of our driveway and I can monitor both cameras from one app

We bought one of these thinking it would be great for security. The main issue i have with this is you jave to sign up for a service and pay for it to keep your videos. It was affordable but the service wasn't

While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every motion and live view event for up to 60 days (in the US). You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the Live View feature. I love the idea of a video doorbell but this one isn’t great. I’ve had to buy range extenders for it to pick up my wifi even though my wifi signal is strong. It also gies offline a lot. I would not recommend this for security.

Please visit the Device Health portion of the Ring app to review the RSSI reading on your doorbell. RSSI is an indication of the doorbell's current internet connection. Numbers ranging in 70s or 80s may present a problem when connecting to your device.
While in Device Health, you can also review the name of the wifi network your doorbell is using. If the app lists your home wifi, you'll want to switch it over to the nearest extender for an improved internet connection.
Please review the article below, which goes into greater detail on this subject. By following this guidance, you should be able to trace the disconnect issue and apply a solution to resolve this once and for all.

As someone who is always worried about univited guests, this is a must! I pay for the year subscription so that I can store all videos that are taken. It allows me to interact with people through the phone. All conveniently stores in my phone.

If you don’t have a ring doorbell you need to go get one now. It is the best thing out there! I absolutely love it! You can see who’s at your door even when you are not home. You can also monitor your packages that are left at your door. The only feedback I have is I wish the camera was a little bugger.

Love this thing. Totally worth it to pay the extra annual fee and have the basic security package too. I use it all the time to check on packages left on my front porch when I am on vacation and on more than one occasion it has prevented someone from taking a package because they have seen the camera. I have also used it to communicate with delivery people without having to open the door and speak face-to-face! Perfect during COVID times!
