If you're having issues getting notifications, make sure you're connected to wifi and that your mobile device settings are set to allow notifications from Ring. Here is a helpful support article to ensure you have the proper settings enabled: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210052646-Customizing-Notifications-for-Video-Doorbells-and-Security-Cameras.

Hello ElaineJ,
Out of the box, your Ring Video Doorbell 2 is designed to keep you connected to your home in real time, no matter where you are. The optional Ring Protect Plan is available for as little as $3.99/month per device. With this, videos of each ring, motion, and live view event are stored in the cloud, allowing you to review, share, and save them at your leisure.
Without a plan, you will still receive real time motion and ring alerts, as well as have access to the Ring Live View feature.
We invite you to reach out to our Community if any additional information is needed regarding your video footage access concern.
