Quality is sorely lacking

The unit works fine but, the control board overlay is terrible. It's not yet 18 months old and the overlay is once again cracking and, the griddle has much of the paint coming off (and we never used it). It's a shame that you spend all this money and can't get quality products that will actually hold up. I was a GE fan for 40+ years but, I think it's time to look at the competition. Really disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to see about the cosmetic issues with the control panel and griddle. We'd like to provide cleaning tips that can potentially help. When cleaning the control panel on your range or wall oven, we recommend that you use a solution of mild dishwashing liquid with warm water with a clean damp cloth to wipe the control panel. Rinse the area after cleaning with a clean damp cloth and buff dry. You can also use a solution of vinegar and water to clean the control panel.
