Nice Range, but long arms necessary

It is nice to have the controls in front; but, at 5' 5", I now need to lean over the front burners to reach the back. Also, the front 2 burners are for large pots and can not be used on the smaller skillets. There should be one smaller burner in the front for all the regular people that do not make large pots of food for every meal. The slide-in did not fit by 1/16" and I needed a carpenter to get it corrected; but could not apply for the fit guarantee since the old stove was removed and discarded when the new one arrived - I did not have the product information from the old one. I suggest reading the fit guarantee BEFORE installing. My old one fit and was a 30"; but, the new one (also a 30") did not. Overall, I give it a 3 for looks and the fact that it does work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my new range - the only negative thing is that when it was assembled at the factory, the back cover of the range was not properly attached to the body of the range and it was 1/8” wider than 30 inches - which meant that it was not going to fit between my new granite countertops! I was in a panic but fortunately my neighbor figured out that the body of the range had not been assembled correctly and we loosened all of the screws and tightened the sides so that it was the proper width. Now if “just” fits between my new counters :-)

It is so easy to use! I love the large oven! The griddle is so cool! The air fry is so fast and the the food is so yummy and crispy! Five burners are so awesome! Easy to clean!!

I moved into my current house 3 years ago. It had a GE electric stove that was original to the house. Built in 1979. So for 42 years it chugged along until 2 weeks ago. So of course our choice would be a GE product. As the chief cook, I wanted something streamlined, simple, easy clean and not a lot of bells and whistles. Don't get me wrong this range can do just about anything. I bought the white. Clean and bright. I know dark appliances are the thing but to me they darken a kitchen and I need as much light as I can get. So this stove arrived on time. The two young delivery drivers were fast, efficient, friendly and careful. Our first night of cooking on new fabulous stove? Fried eggs cooked perfectly and pancakes on the griddle! Warmed up maple syrup. Heaven. Thanks GE. Do you think this new stove will survive for 42 years? I'm betting it will. 5 stars.
