I needed a new stove. My old stove would not get hot enough to bake or cook anything in the oven. I never knew if the food would be done or not. Anyways I just installed a new kitchen without new appliances. This KitchenAid had everything I wanted. It bakes and cooks great!

Excellent gas range

We purchased this unit as a replacement for a GE XL44 Spetre range. Wow no comparison, the KitchenAid is a huge improvement over the GE. The quality of the knobs, burner grates and even the performance are excellent. While this range was pricey I would recommend it to anyone needing to replace a older range. Boiling water on the the large burner is quick and easy. We have used the oven about 8 times now and temperature seems spot on.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: does not include broiler pan, griddle a bit light

Although the range is awesome looking, we have had issues with the finish. The console was inferior to begin with. They changed it and it is still flawed. We have an order in for a new one yet again and are waiting for its arrival. I am just an average cook; but, the heat is fantastic. The timer button is a little confusing. Have to push it realatively hard; but, just a learning curve I believe.

We just purchased this stove a couple of weeks ago (as part of changing over to stainless steel) and it appears to be living up to the KitchenAid brand.
The one item that I noticed is the venting of heat near the oven handle. It doesn't get terribly hot (from what we can tell currently) but it was unusual. Hence my rating on design
We are still getting use to the stove and it's features - will try and update after we've had this for some longer period of time.

I recently went from electric to gas. Like gas as it has a much hotter heat. I really like the design of this stove but do have to say I am not completely happy with the black where the burners set. This is very hard to clean and keep clean. Shows dust and particles very easy, constantly cleaning this. The black is definitely sharp looking and offsets the stainless. I really don't think another color would look good,.
Pros: Heats excellent, Performance, easy to use
Cons: the black is hard to keep clean
