System didn't come with an operating manual. Searched for it online and found it. It's ONLY a 145 pages long!! After only two chapters found out two of the cameras where defective. I highly suggest plugging the cameras into the DVR to see if they all work properly before climbing ladders and going in the attic to run the wires.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My dvr camera stop working

Love the equipment

Thank you for sharing your experience and giving the system a #10! We're glad you're enjoying it. While not all our systems include audio recording, this DVR includes one RCA connection. You can alternatively add a self-powered microphone with an RCA connection to this system. We thank you for your suggestion.

U have been using Swann systems for several years now...I have just installed another 8 cameras system on one of my customers home and she's very satisfied.
I would want to have a 180° over the front door system with voice etc...currently I use another system at my home over the front door.
