Compared to other cast iron

Compared to other cast iron pans, this is easily by far, one of the best there is. There has been allot of thought put into it. The handle is a vast improvement on some of the cheaper makes.
The wooden base is perfectly matched to the pan.
As for cooking it certainly retains the heat and if seasoned correctly then you shouldn't have a problem with items sticking to. the surface.
The lines on the grizzler, leaves evenly spaced scorch marks on the food which also helps the air flow under the food and allows any excess oil to drain away to the sides of the pan.

Another first class piece of equipment that allows you to cook additional types of dishes in the oven. Great for serving and keeping food hot when placed on the wooden serving board. The handle is perfectly design to allow easy handling of the pan without burning yourself. If seasoned correctly you shouldn't have a problem with the food sticking. It cooks things like chicken, burgers and sausage evenly.

I can't knock this in any way as it does exactly what it needs to. A little tip though for best results. Let it get very hot before you put meat on it.reat for steak but I haven't tried burgers on it yet.

Love this pan! So far we've just cooked sizzling vegetables for fajitas which were amazing and also some Salmon.
It's definitely worth the investment and looks good for serving friends!

Oven now for more than just pizza

Good pan, seasoned well and the handle means no faffing with oven gloves to get it in and out of the oven.
Great for asparagus, prawns, steak, fish etc
Wooden base does scorch and warp with the heat.
