[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I want to mention that I am an adult Pokemon collector and have thoroughly enjoyed sharing this passion with my kids ( boy and girl ) I think even an eight year old would have problems putting this together, since the pieces need to be firmly pressed together with some force, otherwise it will not stay together. Though it would be a great activity to do together! Some of the instructions could be a bit clearer, as there are similar looking but not identical pieces and they are all mostly green. Maybe in certain areas they could add a descriptive text to aid those who may need more help. I liked how the instructions in most sections had smaller easier steps, perfect for those younger ones who want to build it alone. For added fun you can move the legs and arms, they are ball jointed for maximum movability. Once together Tyranitar looks amazing, he has a purple psybeam like buildable attachment that appears to come out of his mouth. The back is covered in green spikes for a edgy look. Overall it was so much fun building this and it will see lots of future play, we can’t wait to get more sets to build!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are things I equally love and hate about this Mega Construx Pokémon figure. First off, I love the packaging, the perforated opening is wonderful, teat and go but not so much that it will tear up under routine jostling. After pulling out the 7 bags of pieces thats where the enjoyment ended. The instructions had the bags noted for each portion of construction but there were not accurate. After searching for a few pieces in the first 2 steps, we had to give up and empty all the pieces out and sort. There are way too many pieces for that. The assembly diagrams were pretty clear, no troubles in interpretation, absolutely made the assembly simple. The pieces themselves didn't always fit and needed some real muscle to force fit them. My son worked on this for about 2 hours and quit, I spent about an hour finishing the assembly. I was very impressed when it was finished, Tyranitar is a very good size and solid! I appreciate the thought behind the spikes detailing, with the exception of the head spikes, the back and tail spikes are actually soft and bendable! I feel if it breaks apart the places it would break easiest would be large enough to see where they fit back without having to dig out instructions. My son was impressed with the finished product but did not enjoy how long it took to assemble, no matter how big a Pokémon fan he is.
