Versatile and easy to use and clean. Requires a bit more care and consideration than the old 'junk' pans and the results are absolutely WORTH it! Used for searing ground meat, heavenly stir fry sear even broccoli. Frying falafel is next...expect great results!
After less than five uses the bottom of this pan is dull gray in several areas. I only cleaned it with dawn liquid dish detergent soap, soft sponge and cloth. It has not been used to heat more than at medium high heat on electric stove. The sides of the pan looks beautiful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I found a new use for this pan the other night. I was making a fra diavolo shrimp pasta dish and I didn’t want to overcook the shrimp. So as soon as the shrimp were done I removed them to the rack while the sauce continued to simmer. Just before adding the pasta to the dish, I easily added the shrimp back to the sauce.

Staub cast iron means Quality

This is my 3rd Staub cast iron product and it’s so versatile! I can sear in the pan on stovetop, stick it in the oven AND serve in it since it’s so pretty! I love Staub products, makes cooking more fun’s and enjoyable

Pan delivered this afternoon and used this evening. Easy to use, it worked very well for a four person beef & brussels sprout stir fry. Getting well cooked, tender beef seemed to be easier with this pan than with my old reliable carbon steel wok, but I will need to cook with it more to see if that holds up.
