Huge pan! But incredible heat distribution. Heavy but not ridiculous. However it does take up most of the cooktop...but that should be expected. Color is stunning.

Imagine this generous 15 inch, large cooking area for frying, sauteing,searing and more. The generous handles make it comfortable to transfer from stove/oven to your tabletop. Smooth enamel bottom works on all stovetops, including gas, electric and induction. This is ideal for paella, one-dish meals, and other food prep such as searing and browning. Use it like a generous frying pan for eggs, pancakes, french toast or grilled sandwiches. The signature black matte surface provides perfect browning and cleans up perfectly.

Multi-Use Large Fry Pan - Awesome!

This is for small family get-togethers. Perfect to feed 8-10 people entrees, 15+ for a side dish. The quality of the cast iron makes this perfect for almost all cooking styles - searing, pan-frying, deep frying, stews and curries, pasta bakes, rice courses -think paella, jambalaya, biryani. Cooks evenly and holds the heat nicely. The enamel coating, inside and out, makes for easy maintenance and cleaning. The handles on either side make this easier to move around and bring to the table.
Easy investment in many happy memories!

Perfect Paella

You can certainly find a less expensive paella pan, but what sets this apart and makes it worth every penny is how well it performs and how versatile the piece is. It's not just for paella. My inexpensive aluminum paella pan looks nasty but this Staub piece cleans up easily and looks beautiful on the table.

Its ample size the 15 inch is just the right size for large cooking area for frying, sauteing, and searing. Double handle fry pan two loop side handles for easy transferring from stove/oven to your tabletop and Smooth enamel bottom works on all stovetops, including gas, electric, glass, ceramic, induction, and halogen. This is ideal for paella, one-dish meals, and pork chops for a family dinner. The signature black matte surface provides perfect browning. Food cooks well and evenly for its heat retention and redistribution properties of cast iron.

Great Staub pan for making large meals; like that it's oven safe up to 500 degrees.
Easily cleaned by hand washing, but have put it in the dishwasher.

Haven't made Paella yet but it's on my list! This beautiful blue pan is exactly what I've needed for so many other things. I love the large flat surface, great for frying or browning, the high sides make it so useful for sauteing or baking and the open area makes it great for roasting or using as a plancha on the grill. This pan does it all and in the enameled cast iron, it is easy to care for, solid enough to use all the time and the handles, really make it an easy lift no matter the contents!

Even though this extra large fry pan sits on smaller burner, it heats quickly and evenly. Feed the entire family and then some. Attractive enameled exterior as well.
