A smell like strange food was cooked in my kitchen greeted me in the morning. After several of these occurrences I realized it was the food cycler. I remembered there were filters for it, bought some, and the smells are gone. The original filters lasted about 8 months of 3-4 cycles per week.

These Filters work!

You can change the filters every three months or wait until you smell the odour, well when your child yells “What is that smell” you know its better to change the filters sooner. They work… Until they dont!

The filters work well. I use my cycler once or twice a day, so the filters don’t last very long. I start to get odor during the composting process when they need replacement. I wish they were recyclable and less expensive.

The Foodcycler had made this household greener

My household puts all of our vegetable trim through the foodcycler (and we cook a lot!). The food cycler decreases our weekly garbage by 50% at least and there is no odor while the machine is running ( due to the very efficient filters) and the cycled end product is dry, low volume, and odor free. The food cycler allows this household to participate in once weekly curbside composting without storing wet stinky food waste. I use the food cycler at least once a day and the biggest benefits include decreasing my garbage by half and making curbside composting an odor free experience!
