So Glad to Have It

We live in the mountains of Colorado, with bears, squirrels and (surely) other wildlings who would love to dig up unprocessed compost, AND we follow plant-based eating patterns, so we produce LOTS of scraps. This little workhorse takes care of it all!! It did die after 2 years (luckily just barely still in warranty) and we were sent another; one year in service and going strong.

These make a big difference. Your nose will know when it is time to order more! Even though black plastic is typically not recyclable (so Vitamix should consider using a different variety), I have been able to pry the canisters open and remove the charcoal for use in the garden.

I have been a loyal Vitamix Foodcycler user for almost two years and I am so pleased with this sustainability product. I tried composting, but difficult to do when living in a city location. This product lets me process food waste and use it to feed my garden - a win/win!

The filters definitely are effective at removing the smells as the composter is processing. I only wish there was a way to recycle the filters; contradicts the point of using the home composter to be more eco-friendly.
