Replacement Stove

This was a replacement for a 15 year old stove, also GE. This stove does not have all the bells and whistles but that is what we wanted. Stove works perfectly.

El panel de control se daño en 14 meses

Tanta confianza que da tener equipos GE pero este producto deja mucho que desear. Solo pasados 14 meses de poco uso el panel de control del horno presento fallas electrónicas al calentarse. Y lo más irresponsable de GE que no quiso reparar por qué la garantía es sólo 1 año. Esto es una falla mayor del equipo y no una simple bombilla.

Love this gas stove

I expected a dependable stove when I read the reviews. I wasn't sure how the griddle would be. This one is non-stick covered aluminum. I would have preferred cast iron. I was cautious, cleaning after grease splattered on it. I finally put it to use when I made a pancake breakfast. Cooked the bacon and eggs beautifully. It even cooked the extra pancakes fine. I just prefer my pancake skillet for the pancakes. I think I will try the grill for pancakes but it make take a few tries to get the temperature right. Pancakes were a fail for me for so many years that I am a little cautious. The oven works beautifully, I just recommend reading the directions on which rack to use. It might be different than your old stove. I love the different sized burners! The two medium ones on the right work great for most things. I use the BIG one for my oversized skillets, perfect. I turned the oven on at 475 for a few hours to burn off the oils and 'new smell'. The directions recommend 'self clean' setting. That setting scares me, so I modified it. It was fine. My only issue was that Lowes didn't install it although my paperwork noted that request. They said they had no one certified to connect a gas stove. The bad part was that they didn't inform me of that until the morning of the delivery. If they just let me know, I could have arranged something. As it was, we had to move the stoves around ourselves because we needed to keep the old stove connected to make meals. There are still serious supply and labor issues. I waited 3 months for a stove that was supposed to be here in 6 weeks. I wanted a white stove.
