Great flexibility, but unsure on safety

I have mixed feelings about this stove. I love that the range has such a variety of sizes and a griddle section, however I feel like the large burners are too big for the stove. I don't know if it's just how my kitchen was set up by the builders or if the burners are actually too big, but every time I cook it makes the microwave above it so hot, the entire pot/pan including the handle hot, and the counter and cabinets on the side I'm cooking on hot. It seems like it could potentially be a fire hazard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the oven is great but the griddle is awful. I never use it but the finish is alll scraped off. Can I replace is with a regularet grate
