Runs extremely hot

Probably wouldn't burn your skin but it's uncomfortable to touch for more than a couple seconds when taking it out.
Also, BestBuy won't allow me to post my previous review saying the same thing?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cool design, way too hot to the touch

The design to use both USB C and A is pretty cool, good price, nice and small.
But holy crap this thing gets way hotter than it should for something I'm sticking into a USB port. I genuinely recoiled after I grazed it while typing. I don't think it's hot enough to actually burn me, but it's uncomfortable to hold for more than a couple seconds after removing it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The drive looks nice, transfers not bad but it gets very hot within minutes. Not warm, very hot. I am not sure if I want something that hot plugged into my phone for a large file transfer. I would have given it at least a 4 star if it was not getting this hot.
I would recommend this to a friend!
