I am a civil engineer working off grid for many hours!! After getting this the booster, now I can keep staying in reach to my family and Colleagues! Its impossible to even get a text without this booster!! Its worth giving a try!!

Doesn't do what it claims

I have installed this product as per the instructions and use a Netgear Nighthawk mobile hotspot router. I have tried repositioning the antenna, resetting etc, it makes no difference to my signal, $money I could spent in other areas.

Hello Ian! We are sorry to hear that the Drive X RV did not help much with your Netgear Nighthawk. A few things that can be affecting the performance is a weak outside signal strength, feedback, and the distance between the booster's internal antenna and the Nighthawk. A weaker outside signal will make it harder for the booster to amplify the signal and will result in a degraded coverage range. Meaning that the cellular devices will need to be closer to the internal antenna in order to receive a boosted signal. Something else that can degrade the boost and coverage is feedback going into the system due to the antennas being too close to each other. We recommend checking the lights on the booster when it is first powered on. If you get a red light at the beginning, then separating the antennas may help increase the signal. The last thing we recommend is testing your Nighthawk's signal by placing it right next to the internal antenna and then testing it about each foot away. This will help you find the best signal for the Nighthawk to work with. I would return this if I could......it just doesn't work.

I installed the 4G X RV in my motorhome. Got the green light on the unit. With unit off I get 1 bar, with the unit on I get ONE bar and sometimes less. There is no increase in service or signal. I'd return it in a minute if I could.

I finally got the chance to install X Drive at my camp site, it is about 20 miles from the nearest cell tower and is surrounded by mountains on three sides. Drive X boosted reception from one to three bars, which is more than satisfactory. My medical equipment performed flawlessly.

Packaging could be better. Lots of parts lose in box. Unit is easy to set up. Definitely increased signal strength. Trying to mount higher to see if it will get more signal strength.
I would recommend this to a friend!
