4 stars. It’s a great saucepan, but I returned it. I bought the Industry 5 line 3 quart saucepan a little over a year ago and it came with the double wall vacuum sealed lid and I love it. This showed up without the double wall lid, just a single wall lid typical on all other pots and pans, and I felt like I got a Tesla with an internal combustion engine instead of electric motors. I really wanted that double wall lid (along with a great saucepan), and I thought that’s what I was paying for. This company changed the product but didn’t change the name and I feel slighted.
That said, it’s a great saucepan. It’s just like my 3 quart in all other regards, which I love. I was upgrading my All-Clad to this, but it doesn’t seem like it is worth spending this price to not get the double wall lid. I’ll likely save up and buy the fanciest of the Demeyere line and get the double wall lid one day in the distant future, assuming they still make the double wall lids on that line.

No kitchen should be without this pot

This little pot, like the 2-qt, is a I-can't-live-without-this kind of thing. Having a little sauce pan is terrific - great for hot chocolate, oatmeal, reheating foods and melting butter. And because it cooks so well, it becomes a favorite quickly.
Industry 5 is made with 5 layers: 2 stainless and 3 aluminum so the pan heats quickly, evenly and consistently. No hot spots. It is also responsive to all cooktops: heating and cooling at your command. The handles stay cool while on the stove and exterior treatment keeps the pans looking like new.
One comment: if you like the way pans look when they are new, hand wash. They will keep that shiny quality. But these are definitely dishwasher safe.

coating get scratched after half a year

the saucepan was good at it's arrival. However after using it a year I noticed that there are several scratches on the non-stick coating of the pan. I always used wooden spatula and hand-washed the pan. It's a bit pity to see a pan with such price won't last more than a year

This pan gets used a lot in our kitchen. Its the perfect size for any job. Demeyere Industry is made with 5 layers of steel including a thick aluminum core. The heat is distributed evenly and quickly. Used for mostly liquid cooking or heating I have even fried a burger in the pan - perfecto.

I like the rivetless smooth cooking service. Easy to clean!! This pan also has a stay cool handle and works great on my induction stove top. Great for heating cream, butter,chocolate and gravy.

You can't go wrong with this Industry 3qt saucepan. The five layers of stainless steel are sure to expertly heat up your food and maintain the perfect temperature for as long as you need it to. The saucepan is an ideal weight and is easy to keep clean.

This 3qt. saucepan is great for cooking soup, can be for cooking rice, gravy, and for all deep frying needs. This pot is for for everybody, not just for industry and professional cook. This pot's flat has base stability - pan won't warp when heated. This pot 5-Ply construction offers outstanding heat conduction and retention, technology ensures superior heat conduction, and distribution with no hot spots it cooks food evenly. Handle is stay-cool, comfortable and I liked the texture for a better grip. Compatible on all cooking surfaces including induction, oven and broiler safe up to 500F and it is dishwasher safe.
