Great but questionable craftsmanship

Poor design of wood block...

The design of the block is poorly designed. The small knives don't fit securely because the slots are unbelievably too big for the knife. Also, the advertising is deceiving, as they indicate there is a vegetable utility knife, which is actually just one more steak knife. I was disappointed to say the least!

We bought our knives and have been pleased and impressed with their quality. After we learned how to maintain them the hold a good edge and easily touch up with the included steel.

Nice Knives, even NICER knife block

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These knives came with the nicest knife block I have ever seen or had. All the knives fit smoothly and were held in place when I moved the block from the table to the counter. I saw lots of bad reviews talking about the block but It seems great to me. Knives seem high quality and lots of them. The confusing thing is that they are dishwasher safe but they are supposed to be hand washed. Either they are or they are not dishwasher safe??? I would recommend this set for someone looking for a high quality set of knives and are willing to pay more for a nice set. Look forward to using them for many years to come.
