Excellent knife set, EXCEPT:............

Steak knives are not forged but stamped! Too costly to place in a set such as this. You find that out in the small print. The steak knives are not made in Spain but Thailand. Maybe a bit less misleading advertising on these sets would be more in line.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was hoping for a bit more...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second time buying Henkels international knives. This set is a bit lighter than the others I had and you can tell the steel is thinner than they used to be which obviously makes them lighter. I also liked the round bolster they used to have better than the more triangular look they have now.
Overall they are still really nice knives and if I didn’t have the older style to compare them next to each other I probably wouldn’t notice the changes.
I wish the steak knives weren’t stamped. They are way cheaper than the rest of the set-and a bread knife would be way better than the fork.

My husband gave me these knives for my birthday and I love them. Everything says quality and they cut through food like butter! I really like the knife block too, it is attractive and a compact size with room for new additions.

Zwilling & Henckels - spectacular names in knives

But, I'm very disappointed in the 'smallness' of the Knife handles, mostly the steak handles and the burrs on the steak knives. All but one of them has burrs on it, mostly at the tip. They're stamped knives and as such their quality isn't what I'm used to.
I've owned fully forged knife sets in the past and unfortunately, this set doesn't even come close to comparing.
Don't get me wrong, the scissors rock, the Chef and Carving knives are awesome and exactly as I expected - same goes for the paring and utility Knife - but the steak knives really ruin the set.
Very disappointed.

Incredible Set of knives

No where on Kohls website in the description or in yours for that matter does it state the steak knives will not be forged or made in Spain. This is extremely deceptive. I see now this issue has been brough up for the last 3 years. Top it off the scissors are made in
China. The steak knives are thin garbage. Zwilling should stand up and compensate their buyers with a decent steak set. Ridiculous. End of the day you get 5 knives that are forged and made in Spain. The block is nothing special the sharpener is quality of a dollar store sharpener and the scissors are flimsy. Beyond dissapointed here.
