Amazing Knives

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The knives are incredible right out of the box. You can feel the craftsmanship right away. Everything is seamlessly stunning, from the shape of the handle to how perfectly the knives are balanced. the tiny little handcrafted details just tie it all in together. The block is nice, if not a little basic. The shears are easily my least favorite part. They don’t feel very heavy duty, and seem like more of a novelty by comparison to the rest of the set. Having said that, I still give the set 5 stars for the value of the knives and the block alone.

The replacement for a 20+ year old knife block set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful and incredibly sharp knives. The mirror finish hammered steel is so pretty to look at. The handles are so nice to handle and the knife block is hefty and satin smooth finish.

Obviously an investment. But a good Japanese knife set is. Beautiful from end to end. The handle gorgeous, the curve fits so nicely in the back of your knuckles. The blade is stunning with the matte and hammered finish and by far the sharpest knife ever used. Ditch the block and hang this on a magnet bar to show off these remarkable tools. Take care of them and the investment will last a lifetime.

This amazing Miyabi Artisan block set has all of the knives you need in the kitchen plus space to add more. The Artisan knives have thick but comfortable bellied handles that balance out the perfectly weighted blades. The edges stay sharp for a really long time no matter how many uses. Maintain those edges and angles with frequent use of the honing steel and take advantage of the high quality kitchen shears!

Artfully hammered finished blade and rosewood handles in a perfect assortment. Blade is super sharp and stays sharper longer. Handle shape makes for a very comfortable grip.

This is a great block set. I love the look and feel of these knives. The hammered Tsuchime finish really makes such a big difference when cutting produce or starchy foods like potatoes and not sticking to the knife. The handle has a nice shape to it and really makes the knife sit well in the palm of my hand. It has a great balance to it. I like how this is such a sharp blade thanks to the ice hardening aspect.

Stunning , strong and sharp! I love the hammered finish on the blade - this finish aids in the release of foods. At first, I thought the handle seemed a big chunky, but when you have it in your hand, it feels just right!! Miyabi is a master of design. I don't like or need the honing steel or scissors with this set, but I do like that the block offers extra slots to add more Miyabi knives.
