I am able to cut smoothly and easily through hard root vegetables like, carrots and potatoes. I can create very thin slices easily. They are perfect for slicing thin pieces of meat for making jerky. We process a lot of our on meat and they hold and edge very nicely. They are exceptional knives!!

A beautiful set for all needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blades and their handles are visually stunning. Understatedly the set comes with kitchen shears which are incredibly useful for many kitchen tasks, especially the tougher ones that you wouldn’t want to do with such sharp Japanese knives. Their performance is like butter and they rest comfortably in hand. Would purchase again.

Best Knife Set!

These knives are not only beautiful, but they are still like new after seven years! They still cut like butter, and they are incredibly practical and hold up to every day use. Because I loved these so much I also bought the rocking knife! Could not say more good things about this knife set :)

So sharp you need stitches!

These are beautiful and very sharp. In face, I tried to put the plastic tip protector on the paring knife and it slipped and went half an inch into my hand! Three stitches later. Will be a memory for a lifetime, while I will have these for the rest of my life.
