Just got this knife set. So far very impressed with the quality of the forged knives. The steak knives are sharp, however, you can tell they’re a lower quality product. Would have given a 5 star, however, the scissors received are not the same product shown on the website or on the box. Agree with the other posts that the block is loose and the knives don’t fit well. Overall, happy with the knife set and look forward to using the knives.

I am so thrilled with this self sharpening block. My knives are always sharp and at the ready. The German steel and design really get the job done. This set literally has everything i need....even eight steak knives instead of four. This set makes my life so much easier.

All the Knives you Need

I first was attracted to this set because it is self sharpening. After reading reviews of the knife I realized this is the set for me. Never have to worry about sharpening knives again, which is such a plus!! Love that all essential knives are included in this set, and that it comes with 8 steak knives. Looks good in my newly remodeled kitchen.

If you are like me and don't care for sharpening your knives, this block is for you! Great value for this block and the knives included, which are some of the most used knives in the kitchen. Added bonus are the steak knives, if you have some, great addition when you need extra, and if you don't have steak knives, they are great to have!

I've had Henckels Classic knives for more than 20 years. They are terrific. They have made many great meals. This set has every knife you could - and a built-in sharpening system. It comes with the two most prep-worthy knives, an 8-inch chef's knife and a 7-inch santoku. There is probably no vegetable, protein or fruit that these two knives couldn't make easy work of. Plus it has a good selection of specialty and everyday prep knives, and steak knives for the table. The built-in sharpen takes no extra effort. Just wash and dry your knives (I recommend by hand so they always look like new) and return them to their slot and you're done. Ready to go when you need them again.
These are forged knives made of quality steel. They have a triple riveted handle, a comfortable integrated bolster. Even if they aren't made in Germany, the steel is, and their quality is unquestionable.

Fantastic All-In-One Set

Self-sharpening block is a nice touch...these Spanish-made forged steel blades stay sharp nonetheless. Forged for balance and this set leaves little if anything out. 8 steak knives..included...should be enough for guests.
