[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a few different set and stand alone knives. They never seemed to impress me much. BUT I purchased a J.A. Henckels 8 inch chefs knife and was so impressed with it that knew I would have to have MORE! This set is all I will ever need. I am so impressed with the self sharpening that actually works to the weight of each knife and mostly when I use one of these knives the feel of it in my hand is amazing! They feel so balanced and just so expensive! I love these knives. If you are looking for a set that will do all you need in the kitchen this is the set for you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i've been using henckels international knives for over 20 years. it was time to replace my original set, and was happy to find this set, in a self-sharpening block! it's comforting to know that my knives will always be sharp when i reach for them, and these knives feel most comfortable in my hand. thank you for including the santoku in the set, as i've always wanted one! perfect set, looks great, and always sharp!

Great set of knives in a beautiful block! The newer self-sharpening sets need no explanation! They are easy to grab and use, do not need a stone or steel or sharpener and will save time and energy. The look of the stainless steel and ash wood block is stunning!
