Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I have been contemplating purchasing a Henkel knife block for several years, however, the cost was always a deterrent. After receiving this dynamic fine Edge block as a gift, I am glad we did not invest the money ourselves. Right out of the box, several knives in the block have rust marks on the ends, which does not leave me overly confident in them being dishwasher safe. I truly am just disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Block and appearance are good. Knives arrived in good condition. We are used to the forged knives, so these feel much lighter and less well constructed. They are sharp and will do the job for our cabin.

Perfect for this Sous Chef

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic, light-weight and reliable knives.
My last block I picked apart to add to my professional knife set in my industrial kitchen.
So I bought the updated version for home.
These knives can take a beating and hold an edge longer than most knives in my knife bag. The shears have had amazing performance over the years as well. Just make sure to maintain them and they will continue to impress. (The performance was honestly very surprising for just a home set)
If you take care of these knives they will take care of you, tried and true.
Looking forward to a very long and happy run with them.

Outstanding knife set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 10 year old Henckels set with this one. What a nice improvement. The blades are so sharp and cut easily. The multiple knife options are so convenient. The steak knives are fantastic!! Didn’t think my old set could get better but I would recommend this set to any kitchen chef - professional or not!
