Very pleased upon opening

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Though I have not yet used this knife set, I just cleaned my knives and put them in the knife block. I was very pleased at how safely the knives were all packaged, with a sturdy brown paper envelope over the blade and plastic wrapping too. This helped me to know these knives were coming protected and in good condition. They were very easy to hand wash with warm water and dish soap and to hand dry with a wash cloth. Not to mention, the knife block looks very sophisticated and sleek, yet still homey. The knives fit seamlessly into the knife block, and are secure in it too. The block is also very sturdy wood, angled in a way in which it is protected against being knocked over. I also love that the block is raised on four circular pads, to keep the wood protected and safe from being scratched on the counter or scratching the counter. Not to mention, there’s a great variety of knives that I believe will suit bread, meat, and vegetable cutting very nicely.
I very much so look forward to using these knives!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very well constructed and sleek knife block! The knives are of good quality and I love the steak knives! The only downside for me is the bread knife because I can’t see myself ever using it but that’s more of a personal preference. Overall very happy with this product!

Well known knife brand

He purchased this brand in Germany and had no problem investing in a set for me. However he noticed that this Set is made in China and not in Germany. Then we used it a couple times and put it in the dishwasher as was labeled as dishwasher safe, but found it had rusted. We took it back to exchanged it and read on to learn that while
It’s dishwasher safe, it’s recommended not to allow it to sit in wet conditions at all as it can tarnish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
