If you're looking for knives that will help you get every meal prepared, and you don't want to have to worry about your knives (at least not for now), this is a great set for your consideration. Every knife in this set can have an essential role in your menu preparation. The Chef's, serrated utility and the paring knife are great for cooking and salad making. The two utility knives are great for sandwich making. It's all there. Useful, and very usable, knives for every day. And they will last.
There’s a reason the Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work.
Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still comes out for certain jobs. I expect it will be there for a while longer.

Bad: plastic handles seem a bit cheap for the set. Scissor in the package does not fit in the scissor slot.

Sharpest Knives Ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is an amazing feeling to use brand-new, sharp knives. There is also a guide in the box with information on how to keep them sharp. I had been sharpening knives incorrectly for so many years. The handles are also really functional when your hands are covered in meat juices!

I received this block set for a housewarming gift. Great assortment, contains every
knife I use in the kitchen. The knives are from Germany and are made with the traditional German high quality workmanship.
Love the molded handles, a little lighter than the the ones with rivets. Very comfortable grip and a forged bolster which helps balance the knife when holding. Everything I
want in a set, and very grateful for this awesome gift.
