Solid Knife Set for a Starter Home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product contains the essentials necessary for a 'starter kit' of chefs knives, kitchen shears, and steak knives. In an effort to pair down worn, flimsy knives that have followed me through life- I've found this set and have been impressed by their durability and sharpness. I find that the reputation alone, and presence of Henckels knives in friends and family homes speaks for itself. Great set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These knives are lovely and they are truly sharp. We get lots of compliments on them. One negative is they get rust spots easily. They come out with steel cleaner, but they really are too new for that too happen.

Got this set as a gift from my wife last Christmas. The scissors and Santoku get the majority of use. Never sharpened the scissors and use them all the time. I do have to re-work on the Santoku using more than the supplied steel. The knives feel great in hand, and are easily controlled. Overall I like this set a lot...but you do get what you pay for and this was our budget at the time.
I would recommend this to a friend!
