I have just opened it and set it up, so i can't speak to how it will last etc. However, i can say that the weight of the knives is good, they are very sharp and seem like they will hold an edge. I really appreciate this gift.

The handles are easy to hold and grip because of the texture. Very sharp. easy to clean because there is no junction between the knife and the handle. The block is heavy and sturdy.
