[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always kinda wanted a professional knife set, but I also thought that it was too trivial to spend decent money on. I finally splurged and bought this knife set, and I am *NOT* disappointed! The knives are solid and heavy but well balanced and feel super comfortable in your hand. They also come from the factory very sharp and cut everything like it's butter. The black painted wood block looks very elegant and the stainless steel matches my kitchen appliances perfectly. I am so happy I bought these knives and recommend them to anyone who cooks.

Does the Job Well

At first I thought the block stand itself was slightly too large, but it sits and points nicely on the counter, and doesn’t stick out too much horizontally. My only complaint is that the four partly serrated knives get caught in the cutting board while slicing, and it’s difficult to maintain speed with them while chopping and cutting. I like using the smaller knives for cutting smaller vegetables, but it’s hard to do so when the knives get caught in the food and then stuck on the board.
