The Four Star line of Zwilling knives celebrated it's 40th anniversary a few years ago. At that time I was able to purchase a 7" Chef's knife at a fabulous price, so I decided to give the line a chance.
Finally had an opportunity to purchase a block set and decided on this one. I already knew how much I liked my Four Star 7 inch knife. Zwilling special formula steel is sharp, and durable. The molded handle is extremely hygienic, and is also dishwasher safe. Zwilling is a leading global cutlery company, offering customer support if needed.
Purchasing this set gives me the assortment I was looking for, at a price much more economical then if the pieces were purchased by themselves.

Really happy with the knives so far. The handles are plastic which makes it feel kind of cheap. But I really wanted the forged made in Germany blades, so I think the cheaper handles takes the price down a little.

This is he best knife set purchase I have ever made. It had everything I needed, including a shapener! I separately bought a 4star two years ago, and is my favorite knife. Now, I have most of the set. A great buy!

My husband bought these knives for me after I tried my mom’s set. I have arthritis in my hands and this is the first set I’ve ever been able to use without pain. The combination of quality blades and comfortably shaped handels makes these perfect. I would recommend them to anyone!

No wonder this line is popular world wide. Tried and true for 40 years, this is an excellent , complete set. I like the addition of the steak knives. This is sharp, durable and well balanced knife. The full bolster offers a safe spot for chopping! The handle is smooth and comfortable..

This set has all the a complete selection of the best, most popular kitchen knives plus a set of four straight-edge steak knives and a pull through sharpener. Incredible value. Especially because these knives are lifetime quality knives.
The Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work. These knives have all the features of world class knives, because they are - world class knives.
Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still looks almost new.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After much research, I decided this Four Star set would the best option for my first home. Was extremely pleased with the design, weight, and overall feel of the knives. This set has all the essentials without anything unnecessary. The 4 steaks knives and bonus sharpener are great additions compared to other options.

The quality of the blades and edges are unparalleled. Very happy overall with this purchase. The one blemish on the experience are the kitchen shears included in the kit. Although sharp, I prefer shears that can be easily separated for cleaning and these cannot...
