Masterful combination of form and function

I absolutely love my 3-quart cast iron tomato. It is truly a functional piece of art work that I may or may not use in my cooking...it doesn't matter to me, it is absolutely beautiful. I have several pieces from Staub and love the fact that they emphasize not just good cookware, but also cookware that is pleasing to the eye with such a high level of craftsmanship. I bought one tomato as a house-warming present and the other looks beautiful on my stove top. Waiting with bated breath for their next creation...

My Staub Collection

Love my Staub cookware. I just recently added the Tomato and small Tomato Cocottes to my collection (see photo). This is absolutely the best cookware for me. I only use Staub, and occasionally a TurboPot Fry Pan. I couldn't be happier.

I originally bought this because it’s so beautiful, but I’m finding myself using it quite frequently. It’s a great size for soups, stews and it’s just gorgeous in my stovetop!

This is the cutest pot there is. The size is perfect for making bread, cooking side dishes or main dish for 2 people. The color is rich red and the shape is whimsical. Everything I've cooked in this beauty has turned out delicious. It is also a very good conversation piece. You can fill it with ice and use as a drink chiller. Taco nights have been elevated with this as well. Buy!

The Staub tomato is made exactly like all of the other cast iron. It's enameled outside to be extemely chip resistant and beautiful. The color is so vibrant. The inside is enameled also which makes it stain and chip resistant, browns beautifully and is super easy to clean. Just like all other Staub too, it can go in the oven to 500 degrees.
The shape is just like a beautiful, heirloom tomato with a lovely stainless stem for a handle. You could leave it on your stove or table for display, but why limit it. It's a work horse piece, perfect for side dishes, roasts or bread.

Nothing says summer than a ripe red tomato, and this pot brings that spirit into every kitchen, year round. Tomato soup is the first thing everyone cooks in this pot. But nothing like serving a Sunday spaghetti sauce (or gravy) in it too! Try a ratatouille or a oxtail soup. Old world, home-style recipes seem especially suited for this pot, making this the pot in which family traditions carry on.
Cooks evenly and consistently. Made for any/every cook top and the oven.
