This pan heats very evenly (determined by flour test), retains heat incredibly well, sears evenly and releases well even with no micro-seasoning layer, is easy to clean, and is an all-around joy to use. The basil color is absolutely stunning and is very true-to-photo. The bottom is very smooth which makes it move around a bit on the burner, just hold the handle with an oven mitt to prevent the slipping around. I only want to use this line of products in my kitchen from now on!
With that, there is a caveat: it took a long while to process my order and ship it out. 17 days to be precise. It only took 1 day to ship since I am very close to the origin of shipping, however, it could take up to 5-7 business days on top on that with standard shipping. Did I think I would have to wait that long to use the pan? Definitely not. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely.

Great Staub cast iron cookware collections features heat retention and even heat distribution, comes with variety of colors to choose from, I loved basil!! Perfect for browning meat, great for sauteing mixed vegetables and meat, works in frying eggs and fish, can also be used for stir frying vegetables and fried rice pan. Skillets with double handle have for more control when transferring delicious dish. That spout is so useful to keep those juice in the right place. Colorful enamel outside adds flare to kitchen and table. Safe for use on all types of heat sources, including gas, electric, and induction, and oven safe up to 500F.

The description is misleading - the bottom surface area of the pan is 8” and the top is 10”.

Nothing better than a cast iron skillet -

Except maybe a cast iron skillet that requires no upkeep. These enamel lined frying pans give you all the benefit of cast iron without the issues of seasoning and keeping moisture out.
This basil green color is a lovely color to bring to the table - it makes food look really good.

This gorgeous basil fry pan will be a beautiful and functional addition to the stove, oven and table. The nonstick enameled interior coating will expertly cook, brown and sear food while easily releasing food and cleaning off.

I found a terrific recipe for deep dish pizza in a cast iron skillet and my family loves it. We decided that instead of it being a side dish, we'd prefer it become the main course so I needed to get another skillet. Thought (for a fast second) about getting a cheaper version but decided to stay with Staub. It was the right call, now we have two 10" deep dishes plenty for us to enjoy. The blue is my go to color!

I love Staub fry pans! It fries, sautes and braises beautifully. The pan has amazing heat distribution and works well on my not so great stove top. It can with stand temperatures up to 500F so go ahead and broil in it or use it on your BBQ.
