Great frying Pan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pan for browning meats. I’ve sautéed chicken, browned chuck roast for carbonnade a la flamande, and sautéed steaks for steak au poivre. I had to exchange my first purchase at the retailer because I think it was defective. There were some little bumps on the surface of the skillet.

The king of cast iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned, bought and used several pieces of cast iron cookware over the last decade. Often times buying used or old iron in order to find the best piece and test them out on the cheap. However, I had always heard that Staub was king of the roost when it came to non-seasoned iron. I'll admit I enjoy seasoned iron over enameled but this pan is making me a convert.

Love the unusual Grenadine color this pan comes in. Looks great in my all gray kitchen. Very well made...dark interior does not stain, and is really easy to clean. Can get super hot for great searing, and also works in the oven at 500 degrees. Don't know how I lived without it!

This fry pan is not only great on all stove tops, but is also oven safe up to 500 degrees!
Great for starting thicker cuts of meat on the stove top and finishing in the oven without drying meat out which has always been a big issue in the past. Cleans beautifully, and needs a minimal amount of added fats or oils.

Great until enamel chipped. I took perfect care of this pan and I pulled it out of my drawer today and saw this chip. Very disappointed.
