great for my chicken

I needed a larger size dutch oven to cook a larger chicken. I was looking for round but I love the oval shape. It is perfect size for a large dinner chicken. I roast everything together. My potatoes and veggies are nice and tender and full of flavor from the chicken. The matte interior gives great browning and the heat retention means nice even cooking. The braising spikes on the lid keep everything nice and moist.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this size and I love this shape especially for roasting chickens or baking a boule of sourdough bread. You have enough room to add all of your vegetables in with the chicken, which is a huge plus. For baking bread the cast iron is perfect because it conducts heat so well, and retains the heat. The spikes under the lid collect moisture and self-baste whatever dish you are baking or roasting in the oven, all while it is cooking, so almost like you have an extra hand! You get to take all the credit though! Bread does come out perfect when baked in a staub and your chickens will come out juicy and golden brown.

All in black! The best pot to have!

This black color will blends in naturally either stainless steel or modern designed kitchen. Staub cast iron pots saves you another dish, you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table. I also bought a staub magnetic trivet to protect my table from direct heat, it add another beautiful thing at your dinner parties.

This 7qt oval cocotte is such a great addition to your Staub cookware collection. The classic black matte exterior matches the incredible nonstick enameled cast iron interior that is ideal for browning and searing. Expect exceptional flavor due to the self-basting spikes on the underside of the lid and the pre-seasoned coating. This size is ideal for feeding parties larger than 3!

This oval cocottte is so versatile. Its black matte finish on the inside of the pan allows for better browning, braising, and roasting. The heat capability is amazing, and it will stay hot for hours, especially important for a holiday meal. Safe for use on all types of heat sources, including gas, electric, and induction, and oven safe up to 500F. It is one of my favorite pans to cook prime rib in.

Amazing quality, everything I prepare turns out beautifully. The 7 quart capacity is great for larger portions and the fact that it's an oval allows longer cuts of meat to feel more roomy inside. The pot heats up evenly even on a round burner.

The Staub enameled black matte interior is optimal for braising and browning. Lids with continuous self-basting spikes make for tender, moist, and flavorful dishes. This 7 qt oval cocotte is ideal for larger recipes and portions of meats.

This is a strong, sturdy, beautiful pot for family meals. Brown meats to perfection and roast whole chickens in this pot. I love the black matte throughout!
