Greatest addition....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a fan of Staub products, I couldn’t wait to purchase this larger version. The size is perfect for making large batches of soup and flips easily to being a perfect roaster for Sunday pot roast. I remain a satisfied, happy and loyal customer.

This big boy is the perfect size for my large extended family. Love the dark interior, which aids in caramelization and creates the perfect sear on meats, and poultry. The heavy flat lid, with dimples on the inside, really hold on to all those juices, and does all the basting needed for moist roasts and poultry.
Love that it can be used on all cook tops, including my portable induction hub that I use outside when I want to fry up some fish and chips, so that the odor does not remain in the house. Also oven safe up to 500 degrees which is useful when browning the bread crumbs on top of the macaroni and cheese casserole I use this pan for. Really satisfied with the quality of this dutch oven, and look forward to adding additional pieces to my collection.

Love my 9 Quart Staub Cocotte! Plenty of room for large batch cooking. The cast iron enamel does not need seasoning, and is easy to maintain. The black interior is resistant to stains from tomato based recipes which is one less thing I have to worry about. Keeps foods nice and warm when serving, and also looks great on the table. Thinking of switching out the knob for a pig, which I think is adorable!

I HAVE SEVERAL SMALLER ROUND COCOTTES WHICH I LIKE BUT I WANTED TO GET A LARGER ONE TO ENABLE ME TO MAKE ENOUGH FOR SEVERAL MEALS OR FOR A PARTY TYPE SITUATION. THE STAUB UNITS ARE BEAUTIFULLY BUILT AND DO A WONDER JOB OF "FOOD MAKING". HOPING TO HAND DOWN THIS ONE TO MY YOUNGEST SON WHO ALSO LIKES TO COOK LIKE MYSELF.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've wanted a large volume Cocotte for year and finally found a beauty of a 9qt for a great price. The Grenadine color matches my Oval Roaster, which was my first Staub pot, and it's a stunner of a color.
As far as cooking surfaces go I prefer Staub's to LeCreuset. I just prefer the black to a white surface.
I also outfitted it with their adorable Pig knob. Btw Staub, you should make dish themed knows for parties/holidays. Like a green bean knob for green bean casserole and so on...just an idea. Send me the royalties.
