I love everything about Staub and this exceptional 9 quart pot. Roast, pasta sauce or gumbo for a large family, this is the perfect pot. The black interior browns perfectlly and never scratches or stains. The heavy lid with dimples creates a moist environment to create delicious meals everytime. And since it is incredibly beautiful and cast iron holds its temperature so well, it's perfect to go from the stove to the table.

Little effort required when working with this pot of such strength. Amazing Browning due to the even and high heat this pot can achieve. Imagine, this pot will with stand temperature of 900 degrees. Put it on your outside grill or wood burning oven. It can take it!! no need to season this pot-
clean up is also a breeze with this pot- and, you won't get the staining !! Innovative black matte interior. If you are looking for a "forever" pot...this is it!

It's not possible for it to be "too big"!

Don't be intimidated by the size it's not possible for your cocotte to be too big. This pot provides a roomy area for all your soups, stews, chilis and roasts. The larger surface area at the bottom allows for a nice browning surface which the matte black interior is perfect. Whether it's full to the brim or just partial with a smaller recipe this will cook evenly and the flat lid with self basting dimples ensures whatever you're cooking won't dry out. Staub's majolique enamel glazing holds up without scratching even when you need to scrub off baked on foods.
