SO MUCH FUN!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is easily the most fun we've had playing with Hot Wheels, ever. My oldest son (9) has always loved Hot Wheels. My youngest son and daughter (both 6 - twins) have never been that engaged. They were ALL enamored by the fun of this track and app. The track by itself is honestly the most fun track we've had because the cars are fast as lighting (for real!) We had a little hiccup because we didn't have all parts at first, but a quick message to customer service made it happen. It is SO AWESOME that the app picks up on the shape of the track you set up. We all thought that was magic. Then we "loaded" our cars in to the garage and started the app challenges. The kids loved the speed competition and as a family we loved trying to hit the "race 5, etc. times in 30 seconds" challenges because we worked as a team. It was so fun, and so rewarding as family time for my electronics loving family who also loves Hot Wheels. I'm so pleased with this product. Easily the best Hot Wheels experience we've had, ever. If I could recommend any room for improvement, it would be to completely ditch the "Twin Mills" car for track racing. It has never once stayed on the track after more than 100 tries and could be more of a safety hazard than other cars since it literally never ever stays on the track. Thanks HW!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a favorite toy for the past few days. Both of my boys are loving being able to race their favorite cars against one another both on the track and on the challenges through the app. It took a little while for them to figure out how fast the cars need to go so they make it completely around the track without flying off or stopping, but once that was figured out they haven’t stopped playing with it. The traditional hot wheels can also be used on this track.

takes racing to another level

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really enjoyed playing with this Hot Wheels ID smart track. The whole family got involved with it. The adults had as much fun as the kids did. We quickly charged and updated the race portal using the included USB cable then downloaded the app. I did not experience any issues downloading the app to my iPad Air or on my android phone. I did enjoy the app much more on the larger screen though. Be aware that this track is very large and will take up a significant amount of floor space but it is so worth it!
We started by setting up the track and connecting the race portal via Bluetooth to our device. The portal will scan special codes on the bottom of compatible Hot Wheels ID cars and they will show up in the app to be used for races. Push down on the blue pump to power up the portal until the light is green (red is too fast), push the car through the slot and watch it zoom around the track. The app allows you see how fast the car went around the track and the number of laps it went. We could also challenge each other to races with the different cars we had. The more we played, the more upgrades we earned for our cars. There are even more id cars that can be collected and scanned to use along with the app’s features. If your child has any existing orange Hot Wheels tracks, they can be combined with this ID track by using the included connectors for even more customized racing.
We looked at the pictures on the side of the box for ideas on different ways that we could build the track. We liked that the track that we had built will show up in the app exactly in the same configuration that we built it in the real world. Each and every time we would rebuild the track a different way, the app would show the track setup exactly as we had built it. We loved playing the different games and doing the challenges. The challenges really helped up to learn how to use the track properly to keep the cars from flying off the track. Be cautious because if this is done incorrectly and revved too high, the cars can fly off the track at high speeds and possibly cause damage or injury. Kids should be supervised while using this track. This is a toy that will keep the kids engaged every time they play with it and a toy they will keep coming back to play with.

Portal Does Not Connect

I purchased this track for my boys this Christmas. They were SO excited to use it. We did everything the instructions asked step by step but the portal will not connect. It says the light should turn blue when you're connecting it. It turned blue once and then it stopped. We have tried resetting it, turning it on and off and nothing happens. They are very disappointed that the track has now just been sitting in their playroom, useless.

Incomplete kit

I bought this last year in November as a Christmas present for my son. He was so excited upon opening his present and wanted to play with the track set right away. As we were setting up we find out that it was missing key pieces. We did not receive the Bluetooth portal and 2 other cars were missing. According to the box and the instructions it was supposed to come with the Bluetooth portal and 3 cars total. My son is extremely disappointed. What kind of quality check to you guys do? Trying to email you guys a complain is so complicated and tedious. I’m very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Couldn't wait to get it set up. Scan the car and started racing in real time and them on the internet. Been trying to get the cars to go faster. It's a blast. My son has been play nonstop. We have made teams with the cars and are trying to be the fastest. I'm already looking to get me more cars to challenge my son. He is wanting more cars so he can beat me. I have seen some car I think look cool and want.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew my grandson would love this but that was putting it mildly. He is all about cars and especially speed, so this was made for him. I love that it's not just something to watch cars go around but that he needs to interact and control them. There's a bit of a learning curve so the cars don't just go flying but that's good. I also like the fact that it can connect to other Hot Wheels tracks and make his own layouts. He will enjoy this toy for a very long time.
