Great choice for a small to medium-size room.

I've had this for a little over a week now and I'm really liking it. I live in a medium-humidity climate in Oregon. This little swamp cooler works well in my climate, but I think it would shine even more in a drier climate. I got it with the intention of trying it as a cheaper alternative to a portable air conditioner, and while it doesn't deliver the colder temperatures that a similar-sized portable a/c can deliver, it does a very good job of taking the edge off of the hotter summer days.
I think any buyer can expect this unit to work very well in a small to medium-sized room in dry to medium-humidity climates. The controls are easy to navigate. It has all the features you need and none that you don't. I find that at full blast it will run for about 7 hours before I need to add water to the tank. You can run the unit with only the fan on, but realistically a box fan would do a better job if you're only trying to move air. The remote control works well and has perfectly adequate range. The unit also rolls easily, even when the tank is full of water.
I would recommend this to anyone trying to keep cooler on hot days.

I received my personal air cooler and couldn't wait to try it out. There was no assembly needed, it was literally out of the box. If you just want to use the fan mode all you have to do is plug it in. If you use the evaporate air mode, just freeze the 2 ice packs that are included place them in the tank and fill it with water. It can't get any easier then that. I used the air cooler in my office and closed in carport were I do woodworking, it helped keep the room comfortable. No it doesn't blow ice cold air , but it helps especially on the really hot days. It is light weight, quiet and easy to move around.

Perfect cooling unit for ARID environments

This evaporative air cooler/fan packs a lot of punch for quickly and powerfully blasting cold air throughout a midsize room. It's very easy to move it around, say if different parts of the house or office get hotter as the sun passes overhead. The design is made for ease of use, a compact and stolid machine that rather ingeniously uses simple evaporation to produce a soothing outpouring of cool air. Before you invest, remember that this unit works best in very arid environments, places with extremely low humidity. Those in the Southwest, Southern California and similar areas will find the Frigidaire 2-in-1 Personal Evaporative Air Cooler & Fan to be an indispensable addition to their hot, low-humidity household.

Perfect for our space

My husband and I needed additional air for a bedroom upstairs. This is perfect for a small space especially for a place you don’t want to have to have a window. Love it!

Frigidaire 2 in 1 Cooler

The personal air cooler definitely helped to cool my bedroom down quite a bit. There is no assembly needed you just have to take it out of the box and plug it in. There are two reusable ice packs that you put into the water tank to lower the temperature of the water so that it cools more effectively. This air cooler works on the same pricipal as a swap cooler. I live in a dryer environment so it works well. If you live where there is lots of humidity the evaporative cooling might not work as well. All in all I am pleased with the unit.

Big things comes in small packages

I received my 2 in 1 cooler and fan and I couldn't wait to use it, my bedroom is upstairs and always gets hot even with the ac on, this fantastic and compact cooler was exactly what I needed to keep my room cool. Its compact and fits in the corner perfectly, it comes with a remote which is very convenient when you want to change the speed. I am really impressed with this and glad to have it during this summer weather.

I needed a small portable air cooler for my home office and decided to give this Frigidaire Air Cooler a try! It is absolutely perfect. It is easy to use with no set up needed! The dual option for either just a cool fan or a “swamp” cooler is a great feature to have with ease of use! No fuss! I love it!
