Everything as indicated it would be. Easy to assemble, easy understanding of Owners Manual and very easy to operate. 13 gallon water tank provides many hours of cool air flow.

I live in a 3 bedroom apartment that does not have the best AC unit. I wanted something to give it a boost in the kitchen and dining area because I cook often. What I love about this air cooler and fan is that I can move it from room to room where it's needed the most. At night, I roll it to my bedroon. I live alone so I really only need to keep one bedroom cool. This air cooler lasts and lasts water wise. I can fill it up and not need water for a long time. I do add the water coolers to mine as well as ice to make it cooler. It works perfectly and I'm 100 % satisfied with my new Frigidaire Air Cooler and Fan.

I got this item about a week ago. And I live in north idaho, pretty dry climate so I figured it might work good. I plugged it in and filled it up and within a matter of 20 min or so my room temp went down to 68, I even had to cover my self up which made me even more shocked! My only con to this product is that the remote was not operating when I got it, however customer service was wonderful and sent me a new one free of charge! Over all if your in a low humidity or dry climate, this works wonders. Especially if you can't plug in an AC unit cause it will pop the breaker.

Ok, so here's the thing. It's a mixed bag. I absolutely LOVE the fan portion. Strong directed breeze with different settings that give you options. I love that. But I'm disappointed in the evaporative cooler part. Maybe it's too humid where I am in SoCal, but I didn't really notice much cooling. The cooler felt like a slightly cooler version of the fan, so on a hot day, it didn't do much more than create a warm, moist breeze. One of the catches is that you have to put ice packs into the water for it to cool. So not only do you have to make sure that the ice packs are frozen, but there's no real smooth way to get them in and out of the water tank. So you have to take the cooler/fan top off and put them in/take them out. Water tends to collect in the fan back when you use the evap, so you end up getting water all over the place when you move the top off. I think this would work very well for someone that wants to add a little extra cooling, or as an addition to an AC unit. But on it's own, I'm not overly impressed. Also, it is quite big. So make sure you are using it in a room with some space (like it mentions, its good up to 450 sq ft, so use it for a bigger space and you'll be fine). In my tiny little area, it take up quite a bit of room. I would recommend it, absolutely, but this was my experience.

I try to do everything such as cool water to try to help the unit, but it still gets my room very hot. I really don't recommend this.

Air conditioners do not do well in very dry locations. Everyone around here uses swamp coolers. This unit is exactly what is needed in dry climates without spending a fortune on a wholehouse unit. It is portable and easy to move. It looks sleek and modern. It holds a lot of water so you don't have to refill it very often and is easy to fill. This is very energy efficient, which is great since I am on solar power so cannot run an air conditioner. You can feel the cool air from across the room. My dogs love laying in front of it. The fan is powerful but fairly quiet. It will cool a medium size room down pretty quickly. The air comes out about 3 feet off of the floor which is good because it clears the bed and blows right on you. A lot of other models are too short so you have to put the cooler on a table to blow on you while you are sleeping. Also, it comes with a handy remote so you don't have to get up to turn it on and off. Overall, I love this unit. It makes the house comfortable even in over 100 degree heat. @newairusa #newairusa
