Camera doesn't connect

Light works at night but camera doesn't connect. Called Lorex support and got nowhere so the two star rating goes to support as it is hard to rate something that I can't. Make work. After buying three systems over the years, I am done with Lorex.

Works perfectly

I replaced our previous Digital Watchdog PoE cameras and a Ring floodlight with a Lorex system, upgrading to a floodlight camera. The wiring was easy to connect to the existing box and I liked that they supplied a hook to hang the lamp while connecting the wires. Syncing with the network took about 2 minutes. As with all our Lorex cameras, it just works. Simple and quick. My DW cameras were obsolete and could no longer be viewed from outside our home network. With the Lorex equipment I have great views on my phone from anywhere. The picture quality and viewing angle are superb. Highly recommend vs Ring, Eufy, etc.

There is a black spot on the camera lens and the speaker and microphone only work about half the time

I haven’t been thrilled with the Lorex system I purchased 2 years ago and decided to replace the flood light that always seemed to go offline. After getting 2 different companies to come
In to check and update the Wi-Fi system hoping that would solve my problem and it didn’t; I purchased another flood light. It didn’t help the offline issue with the flood light either. I will most likely return the camera.

Not too impressed

I bought 3 of these cameras. In the instructions it says these needed to be mounted up high so for 2 of my spots they barely detect anything further than 6/8 feet away (I bought them for near a door), then nothing 20-30 ft away in the yard. Also, one of the camera won’t reconnect (likely need to call the company now) after the power went out (the 2 others did). Also, these are constantly being set off but bugs even with the sensitivity turned down to 1.…. I currently have 20 notifications since midnight and it’s 6:45am now.

The Devil is in the Details

I was really looking forward to using this product however the installation called for a 5.5 inch junction box and I have all 4 inch junction boxes. I would have had to hire an electrician to change out the boxes and the vinyl housings. The Lorex Home App is great. The build on the Floodlight camera was great. Regrettably I had to return them.

Excellent floodlight cam. Adjusting the camera to the exact angle I need it to be was a bit of a pain but I got it close enough to where I wanted it to be.
