Good Product Overall - Lorex floodlight V261LCD-E

In late February 2022, after doing much research, I bought 5 hard-wired Lorex floodlights with video cameras (model number V261LCD-E) to protect my home. I purposely waited until 1 full year to write this review.
In the first 8 months, I had to do a soft reset and a hard reset for all 5 floodlights at least once. In total, I reset the floodlights 14 times. This was a chore because nearly every camera required me to haul out a long ladder, climb up to the floodlights, and do a hard reset. Oddly, from months 9 to 12, none of the floodlights required a soft or hard reset.
In terms of video quality, the cameras are OK, but not great. The Lorex apps works well. I had to delete the app and reinstall it once. The customer service line operates 6 days a week, for 11 hours each day. The representatives are helpful.
Positives:
1) No monthly storage fee for your videos.
2) Your videos are not stored on a public cloud. You own the memory card and nobody else has access the videos.
3) Since it is hard-wired, there is no need to take a ladder to climb up to the floodlight to recharge a battery.

Negatives:
1) About once a month, a floodlight camera will fail to record a person walking in front of the camera. No pattern. It is random.
2) Other brands have clearer videos or easier to use apps.

Overall, after 12 months, the Lorex V261LCD-E hard-wired floodlight with video camera has been good (4 stars). After a shaky first 8 months, the 5 units have been unfailingly reliable in the last 4 months.

Only had installed for a week not sure what I think yet still need to learn.
Getting way to many alerts not sure how to control. Have a lot to learn. May have to try some on line how to’s or may have to return.

I really like this floodlght ! Would be 5 stars if had intelligent motion detection so as to reduce false alarms. seems well built , installs easy and connects easily to network.Would recommend if not wanting to pay for there 4k model

This Lorex floodlight cam is wonderful. It keeps me abreast of my surroundings at all times. The app is awesome. Simple for an old man like me to manipulate. Great overall job! Thanks again.

This unit replaced a two year old unit that the lights quit working on. I’m disappointed to say the least in that performance because the light part is very important. We will see how long these lights work now.
