Application hangs / no factory reset available

The application is buggy. Images (icons) appear on the Tobi clock where they do not belong. Probably there is a memory problem when the clock is used for a long time. The problem: There is no way to do a factory reset to restart the clock completely empty as shipped. So now you can't use it anymore! And yes: i did a firmware update (that didnt help)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Firmware update

When I first opened this and turned it on, it said to update the firm ware and I did the steps and when I went to tap the screen 5 times to unlock it didn't do anything. What do I do to fix this.

Hello, I am using the firmware software to try and update my children's watches and it's giving me an error: "the underlying connection was closed. an unexpected error occured on send" when the program is attempting to download the update. Please advise.

Good for younger and older kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very intuitive when you finally figure out how to set it up.
I tried for an hour to get things set up and eventually asked my 9 year old. It was a hassle but now that’s it’s set up it’s really neat. It freaked me out the first time its arms and legs popped out and I’m not sure how to control all of its faces and emotions. I think the angry face is a little scary but my kids have been fine with it. The apps seem to work well. This is my 5 year olds and even though he can use all the features, I would say it might be better for someone a little older or someone who has a lot more screen time. It’s got a huge face but it’s not super heavy. Charging is easy enough. Overall since both of my kids really love it, I’d say it’s a good watch. Much more expensive than a regular watch but cheaper than an actual Apple Watch or something like that. This mimics mom and dads watch which is what I wanted. Camera feature is really cool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got it for Christmas it’s great it’s the best thing ever it comes with a blue case and the blue watch band and you turn it off by holding it for 5 to 10 seconds

Has gotten my daughter moving

I love that it encourages my daughter to move. She loves it. Design wise It's a little large. Its hard for her to put a jacket on or off without pulling the watch off. Function wise, there are two things I feel are lacking...
1) I wish we could look back at step count for previous days, we can just see a chart based on her goal.
2) for the messaging feature, I wish she could message me.

A parent app where you could track the kids activity and interactions would be great as well.

I love this little guy! It was a Christmas gift for my 6 year old, the day it came in the mail I ripped it open to play with it first lol. Tobi is adorable and interactive which is perfect for my extremely over active little gamer. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wish there was some type of ‘parent app’ so I can monitor and set limits for activity and what not throughout the day. I also wish there was a way for him to be able to message me. But even without that, tobi is a fun little friend that will help with schedule and activity. We have yet to check out everything but I’m betting we will love him more after we do

Disappointing: Glitches frustrating 5 year old

My son said to me yesterday, I want to throw it in the trash. He was so disappointed in the watch glitching. We had just gone for a long walk to get steps and the watch periodically turns off for no reason, even after I updated the firmware through the convoluted process. When I turn the watch back on, still plenty of battery BTW, the steps are all gone. The look on his face, it's excruciating as a parent to watch. This was one of the Christmas presents he was looking forward the most. We have Kidizoom DX2s for our kids and they loved them just lost them and the robot face sucked us in. I do like this watch's always on pedometer which is better. If we could just get a product that doesn't turn off and lose our progress!
Turning off to charge and the button being so hard to work is bad design. Kids love buttons, this button is the worst.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
