When I received this fan I was truly skeptical about the misting capabilities. Boy, was I wrong! What an awesome addition to my outdoor setup. Packaging: Opening the box It was packaged OK, although, I expected more coming from a $140 fan. There was little Styrofoam and most of the packaging itself was made from cardboard. The cardboard is more environmentally friendly which I admire. While the packaging isn't crazy good, it gets the job done and does ok. Construction: The next task at hand was building the unit. It was extremely easy. You first build the base and attach it to the motor and boom you have your very own misting fan. Easy, simple, and instructions were clear. No complaints. Quality: Most of the parts are made from metal and high quality plastics. The fan is sturdy and well built. There is no feeling of "cheap" whatsoever which is great. My only complaint is the bracket that connects to your hose could be made out of metal instead of plastic. The concern here is that the threads could be worn out after lots of use. Though that's very minor. Overall this fan isn't going to break on you and will last you a long time. Testing and Use: When I powered up the fan I was blown away with the power that this unit has. Plenty of power and your never going to think you need more air. It works great. The misting is my favorite part of all. You can adjust the amount of flow of water and air to adapt to your conditions and comfort ability. Overall if your looking for the next big hit at a party, or just looking for something to cool you off in the summer this fan is for you. You won't have any regrets using this fan. For the price, this fan is one of the best deals on the market. Zach

Don't buy just one!

Bought it in time for the 4th. Only problem is my patio and backyard area are too big, I think I need a second fan! Hahaha. Seriously great fan. Mister is like having patio AC. Great purchase.

I love my new outdoor misting fan, especially on the super hot summer days. I had some clogged nozzles and called customer service and they replaced them very promptly. The customer service was excellent!

This misting fan was super easy to assemble and took less than 10 minutes from unboxing to first use! The only tools needed were a screw driver and scissors. The base plate has a little weight to it which keeps this fan standing firmly, even on uneven ground. Height adjustable and tilt-able. Perfect summer fan for those who are affected by heat intolerance. The different misting levels allows you to easily find your perfect comfort level. From the little ones getting soaked by playing within 3-4 feet of the misting fan, to others who may just want to feel a slight mist at about 6-7 feet away! This is definitely a summer must have during the muggy months. There is so much moisture in the air already, but this offers a cool down effect straight from your garden hose!

I bought this fan a month ago for my covered patio and am not happy. The misting function gets people, furniture, floors and windows all wet. I have tried moving it to several locations around my patio. If you move it far enough back, you stay dry but are not cool. I think it is better suited to an open patio or pool side situation. I asked NewAir if I could return it, but they only offered to replace the sprayers. For me it is just a really expensive fan.
